Dartmoor Clapper Bridges
Most people know about Dartmoor's most well known clapper bridge at Postbridge but there are also a great many other clapper bridges on Dartmoor for those of us who look. These bridges are monuments to time gone past and are often away from the main throughfares, although as the case may be they are NOT off the beaten track. It will be impossible to know if 100% of the clapper bridges are listed, there is no comprehensive list to check off but my aim is to have a map with photos of the clapper bridges and the positions marked. The photos shown on the map are ones taken by myself, where one has not been visited yet but an estimated position has been calculated then that is also marked with a link to a photo if possible.
